Poor water quality costs you. Charlotte-Mecklenburg and a half-dozen communities rely on Lake Norman, Mountain Island Lake, and Lake Wylie for raw drinking water. Polluted water often costs more to treat and can result in higher water bills. People don't want to live or recreate near polluted water. Pollution can also impact fish and aquatic wildlife. Protecting our lakes maintains our economy and our quality of life. |
