The Park Road Shopping Center Stormceptor was one of the first pilot BMP projects installed under the City's program. The manufactured BMP consisting of a 2400-gallon Stormceptor unit was installed in 1998 to treat runoff from the shopping center parking lot, a commercial land use. The unit is designed to remove primarily sediments and oil & grease. The drainage area served by the unit is approximately 4 acres, which discharges to Little Sugar Creek.
