The Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) is one component of the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) block grant program in which States (including territories and Indian tribes) design their own programs within very broad Federal guidelines. The objectives of LIEAP are to help low-income people meet the costs of home energy, defined as heating of residences, and to increase their energy self-sufficiency and reduce their vulnerability resulting from energy needs. >> Read more.

You can now apply for Medicaid and Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) online.

 

For those who wish to apply for Medicaid or Food & Nutrition Services (FNS) using the NC ePASS application, please note. The application should be filled out, printed, and signed. The completed application can be mailed or brought in to the Department of Social Services. The applicant must be interviewed by an eligibility worker in order to complete the application process.
