MECKTEENS UPCOMING PROGRAMS AND EVENTS
MECKTEEN CHEFS

Youth and teens have an opportunity to learn the basic skills of culinary art, such as Kitchen Dynamics, Knife Skills, Dinning Room Etiquette, World Cuisine, Stocks, Soups, and Sauces, etc. The teens explore all steps of cooking like measuring, nutrition, restaurant management, and the proper ways of using utensils and food presentation from a professional licensed chef. The goal of the program is to increase their awareness of career choices, while increasing their self esteem, and learning new skills. The teens not only developed positive relationships with peers but also gain valuable leadership skills while learning how to work as a team.

MECKTEENS TEEN COUNCIL
MeckTeens Teen Council consist of 13 teens ages 12-17 in Mecklenburg County and surrounding areas to assist in the planning and execution of All teen programs in Mecklenburg County. The teen council is designed to give teens a voice in the community and be a part of what happens for teens in the county. The teens attend bi- weekly meetings; They are creative and design programs for their peers. They also have a street Team promote programs and activities created by the group, they are a voice for themselves and their peers. Council members are assigned such as president vice president, and secretary. They attend all MeckTeens programs and events throughout the county as needed and are a positive teen figure in the community. For more information contact
