Participation in programs requires pre-registration unless noted in the description. You can register by calling or stopping into your local center, calling 311 or using the eParks system. For more information about each of the programs contact Joel Kent.
Summer Camps
Motorsports Camp -Participants in the one-week day camp will experience the life of a pit crew as they design, update and race radio-controlled cars. Using specific math, engineering and technology skills, the campers will solve real-life racing problems. We will also visit local racing shops and the Nascar Hall of Fame.

Inventive Builders Camp - FULL (both weeks)
Your creative builder will have a chance to test their best building techniques. We will work on LEGO projects and use our imaginations to build our own projects. Campers will learn hands on techniques that will allow them to become creative thinkers, problem solvers and effectively work in organized team activities.
AGES 9-15: June 10-14 , August 12-16
Science Galore Camp- FULL
Science Galore camp is geared at introducing participants to some of the exciting fields with in technology and engineering. During camp participants will experience working and building wireless communication devices and biomed tech devices like a bionic arm. Participants will be surrounded by science and will get hands on experience and knowledge from the projects.

Preschool Programs
Music Together of Charlotte- Music Together is children and their grownups joyfully sharing songs, ryhmes, movement, and instrument play, both in music class and in their daily lives.
NC Dance Theatre School of Dance
Creative Movement - Introduces age-appropriate stretching, basic strengthening, balance, motor skill development and coordination while exploring musicality, rhythm, creativity and movement.
Baby Sign & Play - Classes focus on parent-child interactions. Parents learn how they can nuture their child's language, cognitive and social-emotional development through three key areas of communication: talking, reading and signing. Youth Athletics: Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation offers a wide variety of athletic programs to youth participants throughout the year. All youth athletics programs are Recreation Center based and take place at various parks and recreation centers throughout Mecklenburg County. Charlotte Shukokai Karate - Students will develop a sense of self-empowerment, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-control, self-respect, determination, morality and common sense. KidzArt Charlotte - The International art enrichment program base on drawing. In our weekly classes we use many mediums to provide a fine arts experience. KidzArt method of drawing instruction that combines simplicity, fun and creativity while building self-confidence and problem solving skills. Young Champions Cheer -Students learn arm motions, hand, leg and feet formations and voice projection.
