Upcoming Programs:
Elon Recreation Center offers ongoing programs for children and adults such as cardio funk, fencing and much more. Visit Eparks to sign up for one of these or one of our many other programs.
4-H MotorSports Day Camp
Participants in the one-week day camp will experience the life of a pit crew as they design, update and race radio-controlled cars. Using specific math, engineering and technology skills, the campers will solve real-life racing problems. We will also visit local race shops and the Nascar Hall of Fame. Ages 9-12 year olds. Youth Athletics: Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation offers a wide variety of athletic programs to youth participants throughout the year. All youth athletics programs are Recreation Center based and take place at various parks and recreation centers throughout Mecklenburg County. What's Going on at Elon Recreation Center:
Community School of the Arts:
Community School of the Arts invites you to explore the lessons, classes, camps and workshops that inspire more than 2,000 students every year. Traditional music instruction is offered for piano, viola, violin, cello, harp, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, drum, voice and guitar. Art Exploration is an exciting art sampler class for kids ages 3 to 6. This six week session offers three different art mediums for children to explore. Fundamentals of Drawing teaches students ages 7 to 10 to explore various drawing techniques and media To register for programs call 704-377-4187 or go online to www.csarts.org.
Active Adults Club Programs:
The Active Adults Club at Elon Recreation Center is a multicultural and diverse group of individuals age 55+ who love to take on just about anything and everything. Fencing Classes:
Do you want to learn something about the one of the world's oldest sports? Look no further than the Kuchavik School of Fencing. For more information contact Adam Kuchavik at 704-654-6739. Class meets each Monday 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. (5 p.m. - 6 p.m. for ages 7-8; 6 p.m. - 7 p.m. for ages 9 and older).
YOGA:
