The Mecklenburg Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) is the local center for Early Intervention in our community. We support families to help children birth to age three who are at risk for problems with their development to grow and learn to the best of their potential.

All it takes to start a referral is a concern on the part of the parents or other concerned caregivers. To schedule an appointment, please call us at 704-336-7130. To speak with someone in Spanish call 704-336-7146.

Key Principles

Infants and toddlers learn best through every day experiences and interactions with familiar people in familiar places through goals that are functional and based on childrens’ and families’ needs and priorities
All families, with the necessary supports and resources, can enhance their child’s learning and development
Our early intervention process is individualized to reflect the child and family members’ preferences, learning styles, and cultural beliefs.
