Avoid the Interest: Property Taxes Due by Jan. 5, 2012Mecklenburg County residents are reminded that property tax payments must be paid on or before Jan. 5, 2012 to avoid interest charges. If mailed, the payment must be postmarked by the United States Postal Service, not metered, on or before that date. Ceremony to Mark Purchase of Park Land in DavidsonThe Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department and the Davidson Lands Conservancy invite the public to a ceremony marking the County’s recent purchase of the former 242-acre Abersham development off Grey and Shearer roads in Davidson.
