Mecklenburg Healthy Carolinians is charged with developing community action plans to address the top four priorities identified in the 2010 Community Health Assessment. These plans were developed through a collaborative process which involved several planning meetings, review of existing action plans, and agency reporting of activities.
Local community objectives were developed using the new 2020 objectives detailed in Healthy North Carolina 2020: A Better State of Health as well as the national Healthy People 2020 goals. The information included in the action plans also incorporates recommendations given at the priority setting meeting in October 2010.
