Prevent the Flu

Get the recommended seasonal flu vaccine.
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.
Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it. If you don't have a tissue,cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve, not your hands.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
If you get sick with flu, stay home from work or school and limit contactwith others to keep from making them sick. Try to avoid close contactwith sick people.
Keep frequently touched common surfaces clean.
