The Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners (while exercising the powers of a Board of Health) hereby gives notice to consider a health regulation that governs the permitting, operation, maintenance and abandonment of Recreational Whitewater Systems in Mecklenburg County, NC. The rules are enacted for the purpose of creating an environment that is not hospitable to potentially pathogenic microorganisms to protect the health and safety of members of the public utilizing a Recreational Whitewater System in Mecklenburg County.
