Dena R. Diorio is the Mecklenburg County Manager. She is supported by her Executive Team which comprises Deputy County Manager/Chief of Staff Chris Peek, Assistant County Managers Michelle Lancaster and Leslie Johnson.
County Manager’s Office Responsibilities: Mecklenburg County operates under a council-manager form of government. The Board of County Commissioners sets policy for the County. The County Manager executes those policy decisions and leads the County organization by overseeing the administration of County departments. The County Manager also advises the Board on operational and financial matters, services and other issues, and submits an annual operating and capital budget for the Board’s consideration.

County Charitable Giving Campaign- The County is currently taking applications from non-profit organizations that wish to participate in the employee charitable giving campaign. Organizations wishing to apply should complete this application. The deadline for applications is September 26, 2014.
