Please note that effective January 1, 2013, providers will have to be credentialed, enrolled and contracted with MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare in order to bill for services rendered to enrollees for behavioral health services who have Medicaid originating from Mecklenburg County. The following providers must submit an application through the MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare/Medversant Document Management site to be credentialed, enrolled and have a contract with MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare:
  1. A licensed independent practitioner;
  2. A provisionally licensed practitioner employed by an agency or group practice;
  3. Group Practices; and
  4. A hospital that provides emergency, outpatient and inpatient services to behavioral health consumers.

Due to the high volume of credentialing and enrollment applications MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare is processing, only complete credentialing and enrollment applications received by MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare by 12:00 p.m. on November 16, 2012 will be eligible for a contract with MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare with a January 1, 2013 start date.

Applications will continue to be received after November 16, 2012, however, there is no guarantee the application will be processed prior to January 1, 2013. On January 1, 2013 the MeckLINK Behavioral Healthcare Provider Network will be in place.

We request that all credentialing and enrollment inquiries be submitted to the following email address Charles.Hill@mecklenburgcountync.gov or that you call 704-336-2550 or 704-336-6585.

Providers are encouraged to check the Questions and Answers section that will be added to this webpage so that as questions specifically related to this process arise, applicants receive correct and consistent responses.
