Freedom/Wilkinson/Morehead Area
Freedom Drive and Wilkinson Boulevard are major transportation corridors from uptown Charlotte, providing connections to, among other things, Charlotte Douglas International Airport. The corridors are home to, among others, the Charlotte School of Law, Bryant Park and Wesley Village.  Many great business and infill development opportunities exist in the corridor.

Reports & Studies
The 2010 Business Corridor Benchmarking Analysis, a component of the 2012 Neighborhood Quality of Life Study, provides a foundation to assess the physical conditions and assets of the priority and other business corridors, sometimes encompassing the entire corridor, and other times encompassing only segments of the corridor where conditions varied within the corridor itself.

Recent News:
  • Wilkinson Park Business Center is sold out! Restaurant Depot, a restaurant supply wholesaler, opened March 11 and the last site has been occupied by O'Reilly's Auto Parts.
  • Dyestuff Commercial Lofts, a for-sale project, has sold one-third of its inventory. There are two new owners occupying space: Design Resource Group and Doerre Construction. All the common areas of the building are complete with 30,000 sq. ft. of available space.
  • The Wesley Village project in Bryant Park, consisting of with 300 units of multi-family housing, was completed in 2010.
  • FreeMoreWest (formerly known as the Freedom Drive Development Association) has completed its rebranding initiative and is actively engaged in promoting the corridor.
