Getting to the CORE of Business
The City of Charlotte is pleased to partner with Central Piedmont Community College’s (CPCC) Small Business Center to offer 10 scholarships for Getting to the CORE of Business: Strategic Development Program. Getting to the CORE of Business is an innovative four-month program that will provide you, the business owner, with individualized, practical training in the “business side of your business.”
City of Charlotte certified Small Business Enterprises (SBEs) and businesses located within the Business Corridor geography (click here for geographic map) can apply for one of ten scholarships ($450 value). The program will begin on August 15, 2013 and run through December 5, 2013 on Thursday evenings.
Download the Fall 2013 scholarship application. A completed scholarship application, with all supporting documents, must be submitted by Monday, July 29th.
Professional Association Sponsorships
The SBO Program provides partial sponsorships for annual membership dues toward local organizations that foster small business growth for the period of one year. Certified SBEs that do not have an existing membership with the applied for organization are eligible. Partnering associations include:

To assist City of Charlotte certified SBEs develop and grow their business, SBEs can enroll in free courses ($300 maximum) at Central Piedmont Community College – Small Business Center.
