The City of Charlotte is asking citizens to help control the cankerworm population by banding trees in their communities.
 
Through the City of Charlotte’s Neighborhood Matching Grants Fund, neighborhood organizations can apply for up to $3,000 to assist with banding trees in their community, including those located on private property. There is NO income eligibility to receive a Tree Banding Program Neighborhood Matching Grant; you simply must be located within or adjacent to the Cankerworm Infestation Area.
