Vision Action Planning Workshop

Schedule a Vision 2 Action Planning Workshop workshop with a trained facilitator today!

This is not your typical workshop – no one knows your community better than you! A Neighborhood Resources representative will assist your neighborhood organization in planning and prioritizing for the future through an effective, interactive strategic planning workshop.   By participating in this workshop, your community is eligible for a $1,500 credit towards your 2012 Neighborhood Matching Grants’ application. This is a great benefit, but the greater benefit of going through this process is it will help you be better organized and thoughtful on how to improve your neighborhood and at the same time allow you to strengthen community relationships.   We look forward to helping you create your vision of your community, as great place to live, work, and play!

For more information on the Vision to Action Planning Workshop or to schedule one for your community, contact us.

About the Program

The Neighborhood Matching Grants Program has been helping Charlotte citizens improve their neighborhoods since 1993.  The program awards funds to eligible neighborhood-based organizations for projects that will make neighborhoods better places to live, work, play, and shop.  The program helps to strengthen neighborhood organizations, while encouraging increased neighborhood participation and partnerships with the city and others. Organizations are required to match the funds requested. The match must be directly related to the proposed project, and may be in the form of cash, volunteer labor, or in-kind donations (equipment, supplies, professional services, etc.).  Neighborhoods in neighborhood statistical areas with median household income not more than $57,489 may be eligible to apply.

Check your eligibility.  Enter your address or parcel ID, and your eligibility will be shown in the information bubble.

Grants are awarded four times a year and applications are accepted on February 15th,
April 15th, June 15th and September 15th
.

Effective May 15, 2011, the City of Charlotte’s Neighborhood Matching Grants Program converted to an online grant application process. The new process makes applying for Neighborhood Matching Grants funds simpler and more convenient for organizations. Please make all grant requests by clicking “Online Grant Application” below.
