The key element of this project will be to look at options for traffic going to and through Derita and accessing land uses associated with the rapid transit facility. The results of this planning study will impact what can and should be done to Sugar Creek Road from Graham Street to Lynn Lee Circle.
There is currently no funding for the real estate or construction phases of this project. The City anticipates funding to be included in a future Transportation Bond.

Planning & Design Phase (January 2002 - Early 2003)
City staff is working with Parsons Brinckerhoff to plan the improvements to Sugar Creek Road. The plans will be based on safety, cost, benefits, traffic analysis and a public involvement process. This public involvement process allows citizens and nearby businesses to provide input at public meetings. The first public meeting was held on May 1,2003 in conjunction with the Nevin Road Extension project.
