A Neighborhood Improvement Project
In November 2006, voters approved $25,000,000 for neighborhood improvement projects including $3,000,000 for York/Cama. This project is bounded by I-77, Yancey Road, Heriot Avenue, Industry Road and Scaleybark Road. The neighborhood will receive improvements, such as curb and gutter, sidewalks with ADA wheel chair ramps, planting strips and storm water drainage.
Objectives:
- To improve the quality of life for the residents of the York/Cama neighborhood
- To provide new sidewalks and planting strips for pedestrians to walk safely through their neighborhoods.

Please note this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
