Farm Pond
This project includes infrastructure improvements such as sidewalk, curb and gutter and storm drainage improvements in the Farm Pond neighborhood.

What's happened? The first public meeting was held on August 23, 2007. The second public meeting was held on December 11, 2007. The February postcard describes the second public meeting results. The third public meeting was held on February 26. The proposed improvements are shown in the final concept plan.

What's next?
The real estate acquisition and bid phases are complete.  Construction began January 27 and should be complete in early 2015.

A Neighborhood Improvement Project

This project area is bounded by Campbell Creek, WT Harris Boulevard, Hickory Grove Road and Albemarle Road. This project will identify opportunities for roadway and pedestrian improvements such as:

  • curb and gutter
  • sidewalks
  • driveway aprons
  • storm drainage
  • landscaping

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities has installed nearly 6,000 linear feet of new water main on various roads within Farm Pond. 

Objectives:

  • Maintain, stabilize and revitalize the neighborhood through comprehensive infrastructure improvements
  • Strengthen the neighborhood and surrounding community


Cost:
   $2,700,000
Please note this figure includes all costs associated with the project such as planning and design, acquiring the right of way, utility relocation, consultant fees, construction, signalization, permits and landscaping.
