| Overview: |
GangNET is the database used across the state to track known gang members, their criminal activity and associates. Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) administers the database for the western part of North Carolina, the grant funds the personnel who manage and maintain the database as well as training for all police agencies that use GangNET. |

State and local law enforcement agencies. |

$335,135. City Council will accept the grant at its August 24, 2009 meeting. |
