The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is beginning the process of updating the 2012-2017 Countywide Transit Service Plan (CTSP). The CTSP is developed to provide strategic analysis and recommendations for public transit service enhancements over a five-year period. The plan focuses on three services: local bus services, neighborhood/community bus services, and express bus service.
Over the next several months, CATS staff will hold public meetings throughout the Charlotte region and attended numerous neighborhood meetings to give a presentation about the CTSP and solicit the public's feedback. If you are interested in CATS Staff attending your meeting, please let us know by entering your contact information here. Comments from passengers and residents play an important role in preparing the CTSP, we look forward to hearing from you.
Examples of previous service enhancements in the Charlotte region include:
- Bus-Rail integration, connecting bus routes to the LYNX Blue Line stations
- Sprinter Enhanced Bus service
- Community Transit Centers
- System wide bus route enhancements
