LYNX Construction

Effective April 11 - 12, 2015

Attn:  LYNX Customers

During the weekend of April 11 - 12, construction work near the LYNX Blue Line will result in a line cut for LYNX service. During this time, the LYNX Blue Line will only operate between the I-485/S.Blvd. Station and the Scaleybark Station.

Customers in Uptown can access the LYNX Connector at Bay V located on the Brevard Street side of the Charlotte Transportation Center.  Other stations in Uptown, including 7th Street Station, will not be served by the LYNX Connector.

Service to stations beyond Scaleybark, from New Bern to the CTC/Arena Stations, will be accessible via CATS bus service.  Each affected station will have signage directing you to the nearest bus stop.  Look for the bus stop that says “LYNX Connector”.  When the bus approaches, the headway sign will say “LYNX Connector”.

Regular local fare will be required and, as always, serves as a transfer. Tickets can be purchased at the open LYNX stations from the ticket vending machines. If you are paying for your ride on the bus, you will need cash and have exact change. The bus driver cannot make change and the fareboxes do not accept credit cards.

The LYNX Blue Line is expected to return to its regular schedule Monday morning.

Construction work is weather dependent; call 704-336-RIDE (7433) or visit us online at www.ridetransit.org for updates.
