Vanpool

Like to commute smarter?  You can in a CATS Vanpool!

Vanpools are a flexible, comfortable, cost-effective way for groups of 5 to 15 commuters to share their ride to work. A Vanpool consists of a group of people who live and work near each other and share similar commuting schedules. Each service tailors its schedule around the group's needs, with all members deciding on the pick-up and drop-off locations and times.   Riding in a vanpool saves you money, reduces the stress of dealing with stop and go traffic and helps the environment.   CATS Vanpool program provides modern vans, gas cards, insurance and maintenance.

To get started check out CATS existing list of vanpools to determine vanpool operates near where you live and work. You can search for existing groups to join or start your own vanpool.   CATS has two types of vanpool vehicles; a 7 passenger minivan and a 15 passenger van.

15 Passenger Vanpools:
This vanpool consists of nine to 15 passengers with one rider agreeing to be the driver and at least one other rider agreeing to be the backup driver.

Minivan Vanpools:
The minivan service consists of four to seven passengers with one rider agreeing to be the driver and at least one other rider agreeing to be the backup driver, but they can be started with three to four passengers.
