Ride CATS Route 80X to the Race!

CATS will be operating additional service aboard the 80X Concord Express for fans attending the Coca-Cola 600 on May 24, 2015 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Service for the Coca Cola 600 on May 24 will begin at 12:00 noon from the Charlotte Transportation Center and will operate every 20 minutes until 6:00 p.m.  Customers can catch the 80X on the 4th Street side of the Charlotte Transportation Center.

Service  for both races events will include the 80X making a loop Uptown and stopping near the NASCAR Hall of Fame and major hotels on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., McDowell Street, 4th Street, College Street, and Trade Street before departing for the Speedway.

Customers looking to park in the Uptown area may park at one of seven LYNX park and ride locations and ride the LYNX Blue Line into Uptown Charlotte.  Customers riding the LYNX Blue Line should exit at the CTC/Arena Station and walk downstairs to the 4th Street side of the Charlotte Transportation Center to catch the 80X to the Speedway.

Fare for the 80X Concord Express is $8.80 round-trip and tickets can be purchased online. Advance ticket purchases can be mailed or picked up at the Charlotte Transportation Center, located at 310 E. Trade Street in Center City.  Customers picking up their order the day of the event have until 4:00 p.m. to pick up their tickets.  Customers choosing to pay onboard will need to have exact fare.

Passengers may bring small coolers that fit in their laps, but no eating or drinking is permitted onboard the bus.  Pick-up and drop-off locations at the Speedway will be near the track’s main entrance.  After the checkered flag, buses will line up and wait for passengers before departing back to Uptown.
