VCAT detectives conduct the apprehension of violent offenders across North Carolina and coordinate apprehension efforts throughout the nation. 
 
VCAT averaged more than 34 violent criminal apprehensions per month in 2011 and has been responsible for more than 1800 arrests since 2006.
