Pet Food Bank

America's economic crisis is forcing more and more families to make the difficult decision to give up their pets because they can no longer afford to feed them. CMPD Animal Care & Control has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to assist income-eligible families with food for their dogs and cats to make sure families can keep their pets.

How you can help:
All types of pet food are needed – dry and canned food for dogs, cats, puppies and kittens.
Open food containers cannot be accepted because this food is distributed to the public.
Smaller bags of 10 pounds or less are preferred because they are easier to store and distribute.

Pet Memorial Cards
Purchase a Pet Memorial Card and make a donation to the Second Harvest Pet Food Bank of Metrolina in honor of your beloved pet. Your gift will go towards feeding hungry pets throughout the Metrolina region.

Pet Food Bank T-Shirt
Purchase a T-Shirt to help support the Pet Food Bank.

Pet food boxes can be picked up beginning March 30, 2009, at the following pantry locations:
Jackson Park
5415 Airport Drive
Can distribute Tue, Wed, Thurs from 9:30 - 11:30am

Can distribute Mon - Fri from 9:00am - 5:00pm
