Dear Dr. Mary,
I wanted to write to tell you about our dog, Roxie (formerly Goldy), that we adopted three years ago from Petfinder.com. She just celebrated her fourth birthday. She has been a fantastic addition to our family, and I can't imagine not having her in our lives. One of the conditions we were looking for in a second dog was that they had to get along with our dog, Ross. They got along well at first and then, upon adoption, we quickly found that Roxie adores Ross. She follows him around the house and always has to sit right next to him (and even sometimes on top of him!). Ross certainly enjoys the company, too!
The photo is Roxie (right), sitting happily with her main squeeze Ross. And, no, we did not pose them like that. She always finds a way to be touching Ross someway, somehow. Because Roxie has a timid side that stems from her puppyhood, Ross makes her feel safe and secure, as do we all.
She's a very happy, cheerful, loving pup, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. We really lucked out!
