CMPD Military Recruiting Program
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police department takes great pride in supporting our brave men and women who serve and sacrifice for our country. Many of the values and attributes military members exhibit are what we look for to represent our department. We are a strong advocate of hiring veterans and provide veterans with opportunities to join our ranks with our base testing program and application process. Eligible participants in this program do not need to apply through the normal process.
The CMPD Military Recruitment program has three advantages that we are proud to provide those that served.
1. The Military Base Testing program; this program is only for Active Duty, Reserve, Guard and Retired (with 20 years or more).
2. Those that take and pass the written test under the Military Base Testing program have an extended submission time for their background packet.
3. The CMPD Academy is a VA Vocational Institute. This allows veterans to apply for benefits through VA to augment their base salary while in training.

Please follow our Facebook and Twitter account for announcement(s) regarding cancellations (or delays) of events due to weather or other reasons!

NOTE! PRIOR TO TESTING; you must review the  Minimum Standards for Employment.

The Military Base Testing Program is ONLY open to Active, Reserve, Guard and Retired military members.
