CDOT and NCDOT to hold winter weather press briefing

Charlotte — The Charlotte Department of Transportation and the North Carolina Department of Transportation will have a joint press briefing at 4:30 p.m. at CDOT's Northpointe Maintenance Facility. The location is 4411 Northpointe Industrial Blvd., Charlotte, N.C.  Preparations for the predicted winter storm will be discussed.  Opportunities to film road equipment will be available.

 The National Weather Service has forecast snow for Charlotte beginning sometime late this evening and continuing off and on through Tuesday morning. Accumulations are predicted to be up to 2 to 4 inches. CDOT Street Maintenance Division has all of their spreaders loaded and ready to go.   CDOT Crews are scheduled to report at 10:00 p.m. tonight.
