Charlotte, NC—The Charlotte Department of Transportation and the NC Department of Transportation will hold a joint news briefing about the coming winter storm.  It will be held 3:00 p.m. today at CDOT's Northpointe Maintenance facilities. The address is 4411 Northpointe Industrial Boulevard, Charlotte, NC. 

CDOT is preparing for a Condition B storm event with 30 routes, 3 emergency trucks and 3 stand-by trucks.  Crews are reporting at 5:00 p.m. to attach plows.  Salt spreaders were loaded Friday.  Crews will be salting roads and streets starting early evening and work will continue into Monday morning as needed.
