Keep Charlotte Beautiful to Partner for Graffiti Clean Up

Charlotte, NC -- On Saturday, November 7, Keep Charlotte Beautiful (KCB) will partner with CRUISE Motor Cycle Ministry of Hickory Grove Baptist Church for a graffiti paint-over.

The project will be the removal and paint-over of graffiti in/on the pedestrian tunnel/underpass located in the 7700 block of Fairview Road. The underpass is used by residents of the Foxcroft neighborhood as a safe and convenient way of crossing Fairview Road.

Volunteers will meet at 9 a.m. at the Foxcroft Racket and Swim Club parking lot, located at 7701 Fairview Road. The project should be completed by 11 a.m.

KCB is one of the nation's oldest Keep America Beautiful (KAB) affiliates. Founded in 1974, part of the KCB mission is to participate in programs that promote clean, safe, and beautiful communities and to forge partnerships with government, communities, and organizations with similar goals and objectives. Among its annual projects are the Great American Cleanup, the Neighborhood Recognition program and the Adopt-A-City Street Program.
