Charlotte, NC -- The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) received $20.7 million of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds through the Transit Capital Assistance Urbanized Program for the renovation and expansion of CATS' North Davidson Bus Facility. 

CATS plans to renovate the 28-year old bus facility to provide sufficient space and support for operations and maintenance of up to 200 transit buses.  The North Davidson Bus Facility Renovation and Expansion Stimulus Project is scheduled to be completed by July 2011.
