At Large Town Hall Meeting with Focus on Community Safety

Charlotte, NC -- The City of Charlotte will hold a Town Hall Meeting Thursday, June 25 from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center, 600 E. Trade Street in Room 267.  Mayor Pro Tem Susan Burgess, City Council At-Large representative, will host the meeting to discuss with citizens how federal stimulus funding will provide more officers and resources for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.

Citizens can learn about volunteer opportunities to help better protect their homes and neighborhoods along with the top three local crime concerns, based on recent citizens' survey.

Speakers will include Police Chief Rodney Monroe and others from the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department.
