Charlotte, NC -- All administrative offices of the City of Charlotte will be closed Monday, May 25 in celebration of Memorial Day.

Buses and trains operated by the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) will operate on a Sunday schedule. Express buses will not operate. For more information contact CATS Customer Service at 704-336-RIDE or visit their website at www.ridetransit.org

There will be no change in collection schedule for City residential Solid Waste Service customers. The Curb It crews will collect garbage, recyclables and yard waste on Monday, May 25.

Charlotte City Council will hold their regular business meeting on Tuesday, May 26.  At this meeting, the public will have an opportunity to make comments on the proposed FY2010 budget.  The citizens forum begins at 6:30 p.m. The budget public hearing will be a part of the business meeting which begins at 7 p.m.
