Code Enforcement and Police to Sweep Hidden Valley Neighborhood
April 16, 2009
Charlotte, NC -- The City of Charlotte’s Code Enforcement and Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) are collaborating to sweep the Hidden Valley neighborhood today, Thursday, April 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m., in order to address code enforcement issues.
The inspectors and officers will look for health and sanitation, housing and zoning violations. Health and sanitation violations include high weeds/grass, accumulation of trash or junk, parking on lawns and junk automobiles.
The Hidden Valley effort is a result of extended code enforcement hours and ongoing collaboration between Code Enforcement and CMPD.
Code Enforcement inspectors for each of the five Charlotte site offices will team up with police officers at the North Tryon Police Station, 4045 North Tryon Street, and then work through the Hidden Valley neighborhood.
