There is a power outage at 1 of our 5 wastewater treatment plants – McDowell Creek plant in the northwest part of the county, near Huntersville. All water and wastewater plants have backup generator capability but it so happens McDowell’s backup generator is also having problems, and Utilities is working on this.

 Long Creek sewage pumping station (one of the largest pump stations) is running on backup power, and is stable.
