Charlotte, NC -- An informal "open house" to discuss topics about the Rea Road improvement Project will be held Thursday, February 26 from 7 - 9 p.m. at Peace Moravian Church, 4418 Rea Road.

Staff from Charlotte Department of Transportation (CODT), the Charlotte Engineering & Property Management Department and the engineering consultant, The LPA Group, will be at the open house to answer questions from residents and provide more detail on final construction plans, real estate acquisition and construction phasing.

The Rea Road Improvement project will include two travel lanes (one in each direction) divided by a planted median with left turn lanes at intersecting streets, and a right turn lane at Highway 51. The project will also include bicycle lanes, curb and gutter, sidewalk, and planting strip on both sides of the road.
