Public Invited to Help Guide Future Growth in Charlotte

Charlotte, NC -- The City of Charlotte is seeking public input to help guide the future growth of the city. Three public workshops will be held to give the public an opportunity to comment. Workshop times and places:

Tuesday, October 21 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Victory Christian Center - Campus 3
6916 Old Pineville Road

Thursday, October 23 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
Northside Baptist Church
333 Jeremiah Boulevard

Thursday, October 30 from 6 - 7:30 p.m.
First Baptist Church
301 Davidson Street

Representatives from various City departments will be available to address all aspects of planning and development to support the City's overall growth strategy.

The Centers, Corridors and Wedges Growth Framework is the City's updated plan for plan use, economic development, transportation, capital facilities and environmental decision marking. This overarching policy document recognizes Charlotte's unique history, geography and development patters to assist staff and decision makers in successfully building on the most thriving aspects of the City's growth, while providing guidance to minimize conflicts between development and the natural environment, existing neighborhoods, or the City's ability to cost-effectively provide public facilities and services.
