Charlotte, NC -- The City of Charlotte will celebrate the Labor Day Holiday on Monday, September 1.  All administrative offices will the closed for the holiday. The regular scheduled first Monday City Council Workshop and Citizens' Forum will be held at the usual times on Tuesday, September 2.

Buses operated by Charlotte Area Transit System will run according to its Sunday schedule. There will be no express service that day, except for 42X Carowinds Express, which will operate according to its regular schedule.

The City of Charlotte Solid Waste Services collection crews will collect garbage, recyclables, yard waste and bulky items according to the normal schedule on Labor Day, Monday, September 1.
