Town Hall Meeting to Focus on Environment and Citizen Input

Edwin Peacock III, Charlotte City Council At-Large representative, will host a town hall meeting to provide citizens with an overview of major environmental initiatives by the City, County, and energy providers in the Charlotte community.

Thursday, June 11
7 – 8:30 p.m.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center, City Council Chambers
600 E. Fourth Street 

This is an opportunity for citizens to comment and provide input on the development of the Community Energy Strategy, a requirement for award of Federal Energy Efficiency Block Grant (EEBG) funds.

Speakers will include:

Edwin Peacock, III – Charlotte City Council At-Large Member
Rob Phocas – City of Charlotte Attorney's Office, Environmental Cabinet
Heidi Pruess – Mecklenburg County Environmental Policy Administrator
Robert Kee – Bank of America, SVP Process Design Executive-Electronification of Paper
Daria Milburn – Wachovia, VP of Environmental Affairs 

Representatives from Duke Energy and Piedmont Natural Gas have also been invited to participate.
