Located within the Mecklenburg County Jail, the Adult Substance Abuse Treatment Program addresses substance abuse issues for incarcerated women, men, and adolescents. Implemented in 1992, this program is a collaboration between the Provided Services Organization and the Sheriff’s Office to help inmates habilitate/rehabilitate as a result of addictive lifestyles. In addition, the program offers Latino and Relapse Prevention Programs and Aftercare Services.
