What's Going on at SouthView Recreation Center

Youth Athletics: Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation offers a wide variety of athletic programs to youth participants throughout the year. All youth athletics programs are Recreation Center based and take place at various parks and recreation centers throughout Mecklenburg County.  For more information on Youth Athletics and information on how to register please visit the Youth Athletics Page.


The Boulevard Homes Salvation Army Boys & Girls Club S.W.A.G.has relocated into the Southview Recreation Center. They provide an afterschool program as well as a summer day camp experience for children in the Southview community. Watch our Video

Celebrate Life! LIFELINE Support Group
This group is for women who have been newly diagnosed with cancer or have already gone through the cancer journey. Women will meet monthly to inspire and motivate one another to embrace solutions and not focus on problems.

DSS Senior Nutrition Program:
Meets the Monday through Friday from 9a-2p and visitors are welcomed. Seniors come together in a caring and supportive atmospheres for social, recreational and educational opportunities for age 60-up. Sessions include lunch daily, seminars, classes, field trips or special events. For more information, contact Angela Robinson at 704-336-2625.

Stronger Seniors:
Exercise program increase strength, balance and vitality all while sitting down. These unique routines create movement, stretching, and help increase your heart rate. Each exercise involves a series of slow movements. Meets Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
