Birthday Parties:
Need a place for your child next Birthday Party? Come to Ray’s Playhouse and book your party today!  Room Rentals are $41.00/hour.  All Bookings must include all set-up and clean-up time needed.Payment is required in full at time of booking.
Saturdays     11:00am-1:00pm or 2:00-4:00 pm     Cost: $82.00

PRE-SCHOOL ACTIVITIES

Berewick Rec Center Art Class
Ray’s Playhouse:
Ray’s Playhouse is open to children and families during all operation hours. The Playhouse is full of toys, games, activities, and even kid friendly computers! Bring along the family, neighbors, friends and Mom’s club for your next play date at Ray’s Playhouse. Daily admission into the Playhouse is a dollar per child ages 1-6 years old, children under the age of 1 have free admission. 

Wild Wednesdays:
Children have a blast in this class as they explore art, science, fitness, and engineering activities!  Each week is a new adventure with this rotating schedule of activities while children work on their large & fine motor skills in a non-threatening environment. Berewick Dance Academy:
Children will be introduces to the world of dance and learn the fundamental positions and movements of the style they are enrolled in. These classes are designed for children who love music and want to dance! Participants will concentrate on creative movement using large-motor skills choreographed to all their favorite songs. Children must feel comfortable without a parent, Pre-registration is required.  For more information please call 704.432.4934 or email Kimberly Golden
 
Tutu Toddlers for 3 year olds -Thursdays 4:30-5:00pm

Ages: 3-4 years old
Cost: $40 for a 9 week session

Start Smart Sports:
This program is for children to learn the basic fundamental of a specific sport in a non-threatening environment. Throughout the program children will be taught a variety of skills needed to play the game with the opportunity to work one-on-one with their parent. Parents are required to participate at all practices with their child, as they serve as their partners for stations and drills. Children will receive various supplies needed for the program and to take home. Sports rotate throughout the year.
 
Soccer: September – October: Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm
Basketball: January - February: Thursdays 6:00-7:00pm
Baseball: February – March: Thursday 6:00-7:00pm
Ages: 2.5-5 years old
Cost: $45 for a 6 week session

 
Bricks4Kidz:
Watch your child’s eyes light up as he or she digs into a pile of brightly-colored DUPLO Bricks.  Engaging models based on the letters of the alphabet are the building blocks of our Junior Bricks curriculum.  Each week children build a simple model based on the letter of the week, while practicing essential preschool skills including: letter recognition, counting, patterning, colors, and fine motor skills.  For more information and to register please call 704.574.9140 or visit :

Youth Athletics:
Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation offers a wide variety of athletic programs to youth participants throughout the year. All youth athletics programs are Recreation Center based and take place at various parks and recreation centers throughout Mecklenburg County. Young Champions Self-Defense:
Young Champions has developed one of the most exciting and comprehensive martial arts systems, specialized for teaching children and teens. Young Champions Cheerleading:
Young Champions combines pom & cheerleading into one program. Students are taught cheerleading techniques such as cheers and chants with arm motions, jumps, leaps and mounts. Students are also taught pom dance routines and pom “parade” routines. We have incorporated the most modern and current dance techniques into our curriculum, and developed teaching methods that work best for children and teens. Broadway Superstar Actor’s
Begin to learn the basics of acting through activities, arts & crafts and theatre games in this 8 week drama program. Participants will learn the basics of scripts, characters, plots, personification, staging, sets, and acting. Uncapped! Art Class
Teens will meet once a month to create original works of art through various mediums; such as painting, poetry, photography, sculptures/clay and much more. ADULT & SENIOR ACTIVITIES

Dance Out:
Mondays & Wednesdays 6:00 PM-7:00 PM
DanceOut! is a dance-inspired fitness class that feels like more like a party than a workout. Jam to HOT tunes from many different musical genres, including Hip Hop, Latin, Pop, Swing, Oldies, Reggae and More! The moves are simple and repetitive so everyone can do it, plus you will move your entire body and have fun while doing it!  Seniors will have the opportunity to make scrapbooking pages based on recent holidays and/or monthly themes.  Each month the seniors will need to bring in their own pictures according to the themes to use on their pages.
