The 9th Annual Charlotte Jewish Film Festival opens with the documentary that has been wowing audiences across the nation- Hava Nagila (The Movie). This is an entertaining look at the song that has come to define the American Jewish experience. It started out as a Hasidic prayer and is now heard at every Jewish celebration as well as at the ballparks. Singers ranging from Harry Belafonte to Elvis have belted out this feel-good, joyous tune. Film Director Roberta Grossman will be in attendance. Screening followed by professionally catered reception and live musical entertainment.
