Traveling south on Park Road, turn right onto Closeburn Road just after the intersection with Tyvola Road. Get A Map
 
Hours of Operation:
7:00 a.m. until dusk - 7 days a week. (This is an unattended center)

Acceptable Materials:

  • Aluminum/steel/tin cans
  • Spiral paper cans ( i.e. frozen juice cans with lids)
  • Glass jars/bottles (all colors) (NO lids or caps, ceramic cups, window/windshield glass, pyrex, glass dinnerware--plates and cups)
  • #1 and #2 Plastic bottles only! (soda, liquor, milk, water, shampoo and detergent bottles)-- look on the bottom of the bottle for the numbers inside the recycling symbol! (NO Lids or caps, yogurt/cottage cheese/margarine containers, used motor oil containers)
  • Junk mail and Mixed Paper (office paper, junk mail, envelopes, cereal boxes without liners, paper bags, gift boxes, gift wrap, dry food boxes, beer and pop cartons, mail tubes, paper towel rolls, index cards, file folders, paper egg cartons and paper food trays). (NO paper contaminated with food residue, diapers, milk/juice cartons, text books, food packages coated with wax, styrofoam, plastic food containers, gift bows and ribbons, and plastic grocery bags!)
  • Newspapers and inserts
  • Magazines and catalogs
  • Telephone Books
  • Flattened corrugated cardboard  (NO pizza boxes!)

Materials Preparation:

There are 3 different types of collection dumpsters. Only put listed items  in each dumpster. The three types of dumpsters are:
 
  1. Newspaper and inserts, flattened cardboard, magazines, and catalogs, and telephone books
  2. Junk mail and mixed paper
  3. Aluminum/tin/steel cans, #1 and #2 plastic bottles, glass bottles and jars, spiral paper cans with lids

NOTICE:
Please do not leave any trash or other unacceptable materials at the recycling center. The recycling centers may be closed if they become trashed or if the recyclables are contaminated.
