Goodwill Industries is operating donation centers at the following Mecklenburg County Recycling Centers:
County residents can drop off items in good condition - including furniture, tools, books, toys, sporting equipment, household items and more.
Household Construction & Demolition Debris:
Mecklenburg County will accept residents' wood waste (framing timbers, pallets, crates, spools, sheathing, treated lumber/decking), inert material (concrete, brick, asphalt pavement, mortar, sheet rock, rock, gravel), plastic (pipe, buckets, wrap), and other (shingles, fiberglass bath fixtures, tile, ceramic, carpet, padding). Residents will be charged $22 per pickup truck or trailer 12 feet or less. This service is available to residents only. Businesses can take C&D waste to the Foxhole Landfill (at this same address).
Other:
This center also accepts household garbage (which is everything else that can't be recycled or composted) and bulky waste items (mattresses, chairs, etc.) from county residents at no charge for disposal.
