PURPOSE AND/OR MISSION OF ASSOCIATION/ORGANIZATION/AGENCY:
To aid the poor, the destitute, the hungry, the aged, the sick, the unemployed, the orphaned, the imprisoned, the widowed, the handicapped, the victims of disasters, to undertake the burial of impoverished persons and to offer assistance to anyone who may need the help of the church. Through solicitations and fund raising events we help to ease the pain and suffering of others in our church and our community locally, nationally, and internationally.

• Art Auction to benefit Hospice, Loaves & Fishes, I.O.C.C.
  
• Yiasou Festival to benefit local charities such as Battered Women, Red Cross, Charlotte Rescue Mission, Crisis Assistance Ministry, Empty Stocking fund, The Relatives, Prison Ministry and National and Diocesan Philanthropies

• Baby Blankets for hospitalized sick children and blankets for homeless
  
• Pastry sale at Southern Christmas Show
  
• Community Retreat and educational programs on health care and social issues.
