Mallard Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant

Now known 'officially' as a Water Reclamation Facility (due to its reclaimed water operation) the Mallard Creek wastewater treatment plant was built in 1979 to meet increased demand as the area northeast of Charlotte grew. Since then, it has been renovated to allow for greater treatment capacity.

In 1998 Mallard Creek began operation of our new reclaimed water program, which safely and effectively uses treated wastewater for irrigation at The Tradition Golf Links and at Mallard Creek Park.

Reclaimed water program - wastewater is safely used for irrigation.

Check out this wastewater plant's recent awards.

12400 Hwy. 29N, Charlotte NC, 28262

# 704-547-0680

At each of our five wastewater treatment plants, State-certified wastewater treatment plant operators work 24 hours a day, 365 days per year -- constantly sampling, measuring and testing the wastewater to ensure its safety.
