Charlotte-Mecklenburg Utilities Engineering -- a team of over 100 employees --coordinates design and construction of Utilities projects for our water and wastewater systems.

Engineers work to expand and upgrade our current facilities as well as the distribution and collection systems to better serve the Charlotte-Mecklenburg area. This group also schedules all new water and sewer connections and keeps our area's maps up to date.

Utilities Engineering oversees hundreds of -- and more than $200 million worth of -- water and sewer improvement projects each year.
